Inverted snobbery and beer

These posters advertising a very cheap beer were in the U-bahn. I love the parody and paradoxical humour. I think the beer is 99 cents a bottle.

I couldn't possibly buy it if it's that cheap

East Beer. Are they allowed to do something like that?
I would drink it if it was more expensive.
No, they always make trouble.
What would the neighbours think of us?

    I bought a bottle to try it out, as you know, and your estimate of the price is a bit too high. It was 45 cents, plus 8 cents deposit on the bottle. And it’s really not too bad. Will comment again if I feel ill in the morning
